Trinamool Congress chief Dinesh Trivedi introduced his resignation in parliament as we speak, including to a series of dramatic exits from the get together forward of the Bengal election due by Might. He stated he felt helpless in regards to the political violence in his state.

Mr Trivedi was nominated to the Rajya Sabha final year by his get together; he was a Lok Sabha MP from Barrackpore but had misplaced the 2019 parliamentary election and had reportedly felt sidelined within the get together since. He was defeated by Arjun Singh, a former Trinamool chief who had joined the BJP.
One other MP, Sukhendu Roy, stated on his resignation: “Trinamool” means grassroots. This can give us a chance to ship a grassroots employee of ours quickly to the Rajya Sabha.”
