A 25-year-old man was stabbed to dying in Delhi on Wednesday night time after an argument at a celebration. The household of Rohit Sharma, also referred to as Rinku Sharma, has alleged a communal motive to his homicide, but the police deny it, saying that it’s inquiring into all angles.
All of the 4 accused – Zahid, Mehtab, Danish and Islam – have been arrested on Thursday, the police mentioned.
The police mentioned Rinku Sharma had gone to his pal Babu’s celebration close to his residence in Mangolpuri in outer Delhi. The 4 accused too had attended the get together. All of them knew one another. An argument and a battle broke out on the get together, after which Rinku Sharma left for his residence. The 4 males adopted him and attacked him with a knife, stabbing him in his again, the police mentioned.
In CCTV footage of the battle that broke out close to his residence, folks armed with lathi and sticks could be seen.
“Thus far, through the investigation, it has surfaced that the quarrel began throughout a celebration over shutting down of a restaurant,” the police mentioned.
Rinku Sharma’s brother Manu Sharma mentioned he was linked to the Bajrang Dal, a rightwing outfit. “On August 5, we had taken out a rally for the development of the Ram Temple. At the moment too, we have been harassed. They’d threatened us. Then he (Rinku Sharma) was murdered on Wednesday. They used to object to the chanting of ‘Jai Shri Ram‘,” he mentioned.
“My son was linked to the Bajrang Dal and so, he was repeatedly threatened,” his father Ajay Sharma mentioned.
After he was attacked on Wednesday night time, Rinku Sharma was taken to hospital, the place he died.
“When my son was being killed, at the moment too, he was chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram‘,” his mom mentioned, alleging that there have been “30 to 40 folks with lathi, sticks and knives”.
The Delhi Police denied any communal hyperlink to the homicide and mentioned all 5 knew one another.
“Another motive alluding to this incident is factually incorrect,” Sudhanshu Dhama, Extra Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer), instructed news company ANI.

When requested about Mr Sharma’s household’s claims, Delhi Police spokesperson Chinmoy Biswal instructed reporters, “We’re in contact with the household. We’re probing all angles.
