A Class 10 pupil in Hyderabad, stopped from attending courses for not paying her college charges, died by suicide on Thursday, the police say.
The lady, the daughter of every day wage labourers, was discovered hanging at her home yesterday. She had refused to go to highschool, her dad and mom stated.
The dad and mom stated that they had paid part of the Rs 37,000 they owed as charges, and that that they had advised the college they’d pay the remaining later this month.
“Regardless of shedding our earnings as a result of lockdown, we had managed to pay round Rs 15,000 to the college. We advised them we’d pay by twentieth,” stated lady’s father.
He claimed that the college administration had pressured his daughter, humiliated her and compelled her to name him repeatedly to ask for the cash.
“They made my daughter name me up 2-3 instances in the previous few days. My daughter did not need to go to highschool yesterday. She advised me to inform the trainer she had gone to hospital as she didn’t need to face them. The academics have been making her name me and put strain to pay,” he stated.
The lady was reportedly denied entry by the college authorities, who allegedly advised her she couldn’t attend courses till your complete payment was paid.
“College charges has claimed my youngster. We had stated we’d pay by the twentieth. I do not know what sort of humiliation my youngster was subjected to, she killed herself,” cried her mom.
A case has been filed towards the college administration, the police stated.
“We have now filed a case towards college Administration based mostly on dad and mom’ criticism and will probably be investigating their position,” stated Inspector Narsimha Swamy.
“No suicide notice had been discovered and additional investigation was underway,” he added.
