A robust earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck in Tajikistan on Friday with tremors felt throughout North India and Delhi, prompting individuals to hurry out of their properties.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in Tajikistan – about 450 km from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, in response to India’s Nationwide Middle for Seismology.
The earthquake struck at 10:31 pm IST at a depth of 74 km from the floor.
Sturdy tremors had been felt in Delhi and surrounding areas for a number of seconds.
“Earthquake tremors felt in Delhi. Praying for everybody’s security,” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.
There was no instant report of any injury to lifetime of property.
