    RPSC Assistant Professor exam 2020 postponed, new dates soon – Times of India



    NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer has postponed the Assistant Professor (College Education Department) Competitive Examination 2020 till further order.

    The decision to postpone the Assistant Professor (Sahayak Acharya) 2020 examination was taken to pass the benefits to the candidates of economic weaker section as per the Personnel Department order dated March 26, 2021. As per the order the EWS candidates are eligible to get benefits for age and application fees.

    The Commission is due to conduct the examination from April 4, 2021 to April 11, 2021 and April 28, 2021 to May 2, 2021. The post of Assistant Acharya (College Education Department) Competitive Examination 2020 has now been postponed by the RPSC. The new date will be declared in due course of time.

    RPSC had invited online applications from eligible candidates for 918 Assistant Professor posts. Last date to apply online was December 30, 2020.

    Scheme of competitive examination for the post of Assistant Professor

    The Scheme of competitive examination shall consist of-
    (i) Written examination; and (ii) Interview

    Written examination
    The written examination shall consist of the following papers carrying the marks and time allowed, as shown against them:-

    Interview

    (i) The interview shall carry 24 marks.

    (ii) To the extent of three times of total number of vacancies (category wise), the candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in written examination as may be fixed by the Commission, shall be summoned for interview.

    Syllabus

    The syllabus shall be such as specified by the Commission, from time to time and will be intimated to the candidates within the stipulated time in the manner as the Commission deems fit.

    Note: The Commission shall not recommend a candidate who has failed to appear in any of the written paper and interview.
