A woman gave birth in an army vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir
A defense spokesperson said that one woman in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir gave birth in an Army Vehicle while on the way to the hospital.
This incident happened in the early morning of Monday when the Kalaroos Company commander received a frantic call from one Asha worker.
She requested an immediate evacuation of a patient under labor pain in Narikoot.
She said that the ambulance from the nearby hospital could not acknowledge their request because of heavy snowfall.
Upon that, an army vehicle, accompanied by a medical team, was deployed to the Narikoot area to move the patient.
While on the way, the Asha worker who accompanies the patient asked the medical team to park the vehicle, as the patient’s health was critical.
With the guidance of the Army Medical team, she carried out the childbirth inside the vehicle.
A baby’s first cry from inside the Gypsy proclaimed her arrival into the world and returned joy and blessing to everyone concerned in the delivery.
They later took the lady and newborn to the hospital and admitted them.
The Commander congratulated the family with gifts and praised the heroic Asha Worker for her reliance in Army Medics and her grit under inexplicable circumstances.
