CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education rebuilds affiliation systems of schools digital with the least human interference, based on the data analytics, as per the officials’ statement.
The new framework, which will become effective from March 1, has been rebuilt according to different proposals for fundamental changes in the new National Education Policy (NEP).
“The board is rebuilding the affiliation framework and proceed according to the instructions in the NEP. The CBSE affiliation structure has been online since 2006, and now on the rebuilt framework will be advanced (digital) that is dependent on data analytics with least human mediation,” CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi said.
“The rebuilding will help in raising the simplicity of working together in the CBSE affiliation system, accomplishing the objective of least government, best administration, computerized and information-driven preferences, accomplish transparency, get more comprehensive liability in the whole foundational measures and accomplish speedy and time-bound removal, all things considered,” he added.
He said the board is going to come out with point-by-point rules on the reformed affiliation system.
“A specific record on the CBSE affiliation system containing the restructured online procedure for the affiliation, papers/certificates required for affiliation credentials, modalities and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assessment, guidelines for the examination committee, videos for the several processes, will be published soon,” he stated.
The central board of education likewise updated subjects of events for application procedure according to the rebuilt system.
According to the improved progression of events, the application window for new affiliation and upgrade of the association will open three times – March 1 to 31, June 1 to 30, and September 1 to 30.
“The application for the extension of affiliation will be acknowledged from March 1 to May 31 every year. Separate applications, for example, those for the supplementary subject, alteration of the name of the school, section increase, change of society or trust, will be acknowledged as the year progressed,” Tripathi said.
The Prerequisites of applications for rebuilt affiliation system includes-
- AADHAAR-based signature
- no objection certificate
- safety certificate
- certificate by district education officer,
- Land certificate
“After the online submission, the uploaded information will undergo an examination as per the CBSE by-laws. Further, an investigation team will organize for the tenacity of inspection. Schools will have the option to prepare an inspection date on either of the dates specified in the letter,” he answered.
The CBSE had preceded ease for virtual evaluation of the schools for up-gradation of affiliation in August a year ago considering the COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, the board is also introducing a facilitation center to address inquiries and intricacies of schools and inspection committees correlated to virtual inspection.
The board had revised its criteria in 2018 for conceding affiliation to schools, leaving the responsibility of the infrastructural audit on states and limiting its function to academic quality monitoring.
